richard pagán
(1954-1989)
The first Puerto Rican to win the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Jackson Pollock Grant, this promising artist was posed to become a leading expressionist painter. Willem de Kooning was a close friend.

Known primarily as a printmaker and graphic artist, this painting is a very rare painting by Sambolín (1944). He attended Pratt Institute and the University of Puerto Rico, where he currently teaches.

A resident of Puerto Rico since 1961, Ordóñez studied art at Universidad de Puerto Rico, the Art Students League and at Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico. Known for her finely crafted, detailed drawings, her work is characterized by its surrealist feminism.

Graphic artist and Professor of Design at the University of Puerto Rico were he studied architecture. Fonteboa was later involved with Antonio Martorell at Taller Alacrán, and pursued post graduate work at Amherst College.
