Los casos de Ignacio y Santiago

Conceived as illustrations for a government funded book of stories about workers' rights and communal organization by Puerto Rican playwright René Marqués, these linocut prints were a collaboration between master printmakers Rafael Tufiño (1922-2008) and José Meléndez Contreras (1921-1998) for the government community organization DIVEDCO. The original 21 linocuts were produced in a larger format than the book illustrations. These in particular were sold to the gallery by Meléndez Contreras himself among other prints. Terms and conditions apply.
